A popular executive blog for the Vice-President of Visual Studio, Developer Products. Drove and delivered online strategy, initiatives, and results including:
- Directed and launched a revised approach to all blogging communications within the division, leading with the executive’s personal blog. This effort resulted in an orchestrated approach to all product announcements in partnership with Public Relations, Marketing and the Executive Team.
- Defined User Experience and content voice. Audited, authored and edited content. Applied Search Engine Optimization best practices.
- Directed ongoing editorial programming and publishing of regular blog posts.
- Orchestrated ghost-writing efforts, which included code snippets and detailed tutorials for customers using Visual Studio.
RESULTS
- Significantly increased unique users 50% year-over-year and improved customer satisfaction through engaging more frequently via comment threads.
- Executive able to use his blog as a key communication vehicle for customers to learn about Visual Studio.
